VISUAL ARTIST EVA KURSETH - I AM NATURE
In Yellow Light, nature appears altered: the colours have shifted, belonging to another state of being, revealing a fragile, luminous Anthropocene. What If - the enviromental prosess - What if - ecology - What if
In Yellow Light, the abstract language turns toward thresholds and intensities. Fields of yellow, blue and muted earth tones are set up against fractured shapes and hard edges, tracing moments where familiar structures begin to give way. At these points of tension, something unstable, luminous and uncertain emerges from within the image. Each work is built as a layered digital composition, combining fragments of earlier paintings with precise colour planes and subtle textures. The images do not describe a specific landscape, but echo the feeling of being close to a rupture: borders soften, lines shift, and the light itself seems to push against the forms that try to contain it. In this series, yellow is not just a colour, but a charged presence – a signal of energy, warning and fragile beauty at the edge of change.
